The new Polo BlueMotion, which is forecast to emit a class-leading 91g of CO2 per kilometre is due later this year.
The new Polo BlueMotion uses intelligent technology which includes:
-
Start/stop system
-
Regenerative braking (recuperation)
-
Hill hold
-
Low rolling resistance tyres
-
Midline multifunction computer showing recommended gear changes
As well as this, and to further improve efficiency, the Polo BlueMotion is fitted with an aerodynamic styling kit which improves fuel consumption. This comprises bespoke bumpers, side skirts and an enlarged rear roof spoiler. The exterior also features 15-inch Greenland alloy wheels and BlueMotion badging.
Comfort also comes as standard in the new Polo BlueMotion and offers manual air conditioning, a leather steering wheel and cruise control. To reduce weight and therefore improve efficiency, the new Polo BlueMotion comes with a tyre repair kit in lieu of a spare wheel.
This will be a very impressive and cost-effective car to own and drive. Further details will follow.
